Mind, Body, and SoulA Poem by kera moondustI was working on my weekly poem and dabbled on some ideas, and this one kind of stuck with me. I'm not perfect oh god am I far from it, but you know what. I'm not all that bad either.Paint peels off my finger nails I wear too much jewelry And not enough makeup My hair is often unkempt And my feet are too flat But oh do my eyes Put stormy skies to shame My body is mediocre I know My memory is cloudy And I’m not always right But damn do I know how to turn a phrase I may not always be logical And I’m a little strange But oh does my imagination Overflow in myriad paint on canvas My mind is hard to understand I know So I’m a little damaged And I’ve got my dark spots But I still believe in love The goodness of people And I would give my [mind] (body) and "soul " For those I love My Soul is a sacred place I know
