The Destiny of Lions and Tigers

The Destiny of Lions and Tigers

A Poem by kera moondust
"

A little odd comparison. I really enjoy this poem actually =)

"

pour over the Screen and search for the right words

from cold empty ink scribbling at your Heart

drawing Conclusions of realism and Illusions

masked in Musk and torn up in Reality

as your blood Boils to the brim of Familiarity

don’t look at me with your Brown eyes

the Backdrop for the Stars

don’t caress me with your Dark hair like Feathers against my Neck

don’t come close to me with your rough Hands Oiled and Screaming

reaching for the Inner Sanctum of my Lungs

because you don’t need to Lunge at Me

it’s something you already Own

your Voice is gruff

like a Lion

Cocky and Conceited

Deep Passionate

concealing Milestones behind your voice Box

and Memories of words that never Absconded themselves

from our Feverish lips

the moment our eyes met like Hungry Animals

your Lion’s claws clinched

Jaws locked Tight in place

as my Icy eyes Melted

Infusing themselves with Chestnut Tree Bark in yours

our gazes were a Battlefield

Eclipsed for a moment in the memories of the Civil War

when Slavery was wiped from the Scarred face of our Smug Existence

I never heard your Voice

I didn’t know what you Wanted from me

what B*****d child of Guilt I was bearing behind the Skyline Glare

but I could feel my Heart try to Wrench itself out of my chest

as our eyes caught for the moment of Tiger and Lion

Battling for the Final time

to win the War and title of King or Queen of the Jungle

and now you look me in the Eyes

With a steamy Lion glare

Enchanting me into Believing

Me.

I’m the Lioness of your dreams

a Masqueraded species

when you Realize these Stripes can’t be covered with paint

to turn me into Destiny

how I Wish for it to be true though

Dancing happily in a Blissful reality

Lies lulling me to sleep

until Lies finally turn to the sun

Whitened into existence and Scrubbed together with truth

until we are Destiny

Breeding the True Kings and Queens of the Jungle

A bit hard to follow the theme...but I believe you were trying to convey the rationality gap between two people in the lines of this one...seems to just dabble in the words...
