Double Magnet

Double Magnet

A Poem by kera moondust

Trace your fingers down my back

Caressing the creases of my flesh

Etching pleasure into my deep blue eyes

Speckled with forgiveness and fear

We’ve been down this road before

With the plastering thoughts of rumors and bad juju I’ve seen

And heard before

You've got a bad track record

(so why should I let you in)

You left me standing by my doorstep

With my eyes a flutter

Pretending you could catch me so easily

Oh how will I let you down

As your black eyes are softly looking down at mine

In an unmistakable bedroom glare

Spices encase your lips as you breathe down my neck

Your heart beat a fast pulse against my breast

Your hands cradle my back and other places people don’t see

And silently in the back of my blushing mind there are silent

Unmentionable

Bad moment bursts of thoughts

But You Love Him!

Not this imposter individual

Stealing kisses at midnight after you shook your finger and pressed it too his lips

Dragging thoughts into the nighttime air until one of us puts the other to bed

I’d blush sheepishly and hide my eyes as the two lions fight for the rights to their pack

The only prize my soft lips and bright blue eyes

Is it really worth fighting for?
