Moon CaressA Poem by kera moondustI've always thought light to water is what fingers are to ones body.why does Water
glitter? is it the
way the Moon Caresses its curves like Boney
piano Hands Aching as
they find the Grooves of a back A Chest A Heart? is it the Sunlight
dappled wave’s that crash
onto Shorelines into Sands
of grit Teeth and Vintage
kisses the Shoes
that waded into the Ocean only to be left by its Beaches Covered in
your Youth and Lies Buried in Seaweed
as Music and
Magic enter the eyes of someone smaller then me a Magic we
all once Possessed Caressed like the
Curves of your Lovers body [next to you
at night] sometimes I
Wonder if it’s the Stars that Speckles
the ocean with Wishes and Drench
only the very Tips of my hair as we Wade
into the rivers of glittering Tears that have spilled (wishes are
never granted) Little Girls Little Boys and Grownups
who need something to Believe In it was Once
Upon a Time maybe it’s
old Radio waves that Somehow
got Locked into a Light Beam making the
Glittering Waves of a Full Moon Dances to
off Ghostly Melodies that were Sung around Campfires Summer Times
before a Bird is Trapped
in my head like some
form of Caged Animal that Draws a
Deep Breath from the Freedom Only to turn
into a Cyanide days later the Ocean is
Glittering on the other
side of the World where Someday,
Sometime, once I was Someone there things are Peaceful Birds are Free and my Head
is in the Clouds where my Flesh
is Carved by Fingers of Moonlight [Replacing my
Lovers at Night] © 2012 kera moondustAuthor's Note
