Coffee

my struggle with isolating myself from those who are just trying to support me. it's like i'm consciously trying to sabotage myself, but i promise I'm not.

"This is a new place, a fresh start."

She whispered to herself.

She had everything she'd ever wanted,

Even her own coffee shelf.

"I don't even like coffee that much."

She cried into her pillow,

But he does.

Sadness is the strongest emotion for art. I even examine that in my poem "Sad Writes Strongest" (you can give it a read at your leisure).

Now, this piece.....it's def something. You've spun a yarn worth a thousand words in less than 50, and that's brilliant. A world of meaning and interpretation, and the emotion grips and stabs with a wonderfully intriguing ending. Well done!

Old souvenirs of something lost will make us sad. When I was young. To escape, I would the state or the country. I am too old to run now and I do understand the poetry Mackenzie. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
