On becoming a Poet

On becoming a Poet

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Gather your moral conscience

Raise your crumpled spine

Free your mind of every credence

Reflect upon your issued time

Prepare your remnants with exhaustive sobriety

Yet execute with abundant spirit

And with a flattering sense of naïvety

You'll soon become a poet
