To be.....

To be.....

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Oh how much, I'd like to be

Seated beneath a wild oak tree

And while away my time till June

When leaves are green and blue are moons

Oh how much more, I'd like to be

Cast away upon the vacant sea

And with a line, a bait and time

What's out of sight is out of mind

Oh more than all, I would prefer

To climb a mount to a kind zephyr

And lie in wait for God in heavenly hope

With one last drink and a breath of smoke
