Blood Brothers

Blood Brothers

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

You will always be my brother

No matter where you dwell

Even though you were born in heaven

And I, a concoction of hell

There shall never be another

None more loving, wishful and sweet

From mystical graces you gather

Awing lambs beneath your feet

Yet I am the essence of evened brothers

In congregations of whisky and mind

For lambs, I allure hyenas

For awe indifference is assigned

A composition, to the odds of lightening

That strikes thrice at the same dirt

Is the compositions that holds you binding

Of anger, compassion and mirth

How long have I know you brother

I feel a lifetime blooms only a bud

In parting, I shall never surrender

The memoirs of a brother of blood

This kind of feels like a Michael and Lucifer relationship (if I have the names right, I am not Christian so I don'y really know if Michael is the right one). Angels of good and evil. But perhaps it is more simple than that. A metaphor for a brother that sees himself as scum in the shadow of his brother. It was a great read, thank you for sharing.

a fascinating write. Could be the allegorical angel/demon - could be real life siblings - could be us and them. Well penned .

Powerful and good words. I agree with your thoughts. Some people become blood of us forever. We need these people. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

As someone who has a brother I felt somewhat a connection to the poem. Interesting choice of words you have there as well. Nice job :)
