Something to Say..A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe
I must say and with much ado
Than anything, I have said before More than all that I have held so dear Hold fast yourself, whilst I drink this beer For nerves must turn to hardened steel Before my mouth begins to squeal I'm down with one, but never does it do So bring forth another, rather make it two As I gather a comprehensive tense I'm distracted by my heightened sense That finds me ocean's of troubles laid before A doubling eye, a deceptively horizontal floor An eye for an eye, and I still seeing more than two Left and then right, was never this hard to do With spirits the world is ripe and unbegotten There was something to say, but now I've forgotten © 2015 Kenneth Nicholas Lowe |
