Eternal Conclusion of Ken

Eternal Conclusion of Ken

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

My business I mind as mine, each day

On a way amended of shame

And though, you should often fall astray

Conclude, it is Ken that's to blame

And though our paths were once entwined

Less often, as much as you stumble

Don't fret on bruises, aches or thorns

Conclude, Ken induced the fumble

As easy as the dogs to its sleigh,

As quick as soaring flames of hay

In flesh it was harder to hold

Rhetorics sung both night and day

Has driven the b*****d cold

And then when you are oceans away

Where thoughts are carried through prayer

On all your cataclysmic affairs

Conclude, it's Ken's subterfuge at play

As ages stretch and collude your mind

And memories are all but lost

For every whim and disappointment laid

Conclude, that Ken is at fault

Peter with his great book of sin

At the gates of heaven and hell

You may have your final grin

Concluding, Ken fucked it up as well

Thank you Prabha
As a man who is motivated by negativity and defeatism, I read myself onto this.

Quite a great piece, Ken.

Thank you yuki...
Although this piece is unmistakably Ken, it does have an everyman feel to it...it certainly does for me...we all have these moments, and yet we all must find some way to forgive ourselves when we make mistakes, as hard as it is to do sometimes...powerful images and seamless rhymes throughout...this one certainly compelled me to look at myself and consider the places I've been and the things I've done...well done Ken.

Thank you so much Kublakhan, i'm glad it reached out to you...
You made me smile with this. I used to have a friend not by the name of Ken but apprently very much like him. What is warming about the writing is the relationship you share. Through thick and thin, thick as thieves as they say , inseperable at times, Best man at others. But your personification goes even further than my allusion yours start to become responsible for events of magnitude. Jesus! I reckon is was Ken's fault when england lost on penalties as well! And so it goes all the way to biblical proportions.

We are only human said the human league born to make mistakes....

Thankyou
