Selfies Selfies

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Selfies, Selfies everywhere
No other pic to click?
Selfies, Selfies, of here and there
No one to click your pic?

Selfies, Selfies, the only post
Are the likes a fuel for pride?
Selfies, Selfies, with a new coat
Are you looking for a bride?

Selfies, Selfies, while you work
Does your boss condone this flaw?
Selfies, Selfies, with rum and coke
Is it even when you jack off?

Selfies, Selfies, from neck to sky
Are you a living head?
Selfies, Selfies, from laugh to cry
Who'll do it when your dead?

Selfies, Selfies, in your bed
Is this a new world game?
Selfies, Selfies, of the same goddamned head
Why are you so mundane?

Selfies, Selfies, I hate you Ellen
I curse you and your flocks
Selfies, Selfies, my selfie Facebook friends
I hope you all get chicken pox
