Unbroken Hate

Unbroken Hate

A Poem by Kenneth Nicholas Lowe

Heavy weights, feelings of my mind
Breathing unease, sleep, I cannot find
In the wait, without you
At the birthing light of dawn
Feelings of the past and love that's gone

The calls of reason and passion are silenced and dead
I don't feel safe in my own bed
Violent storms and darkened skies
Are merely an echo of my cries

Bleeding hands and hurting feet
I act in silence with this grief
I tell myself, its for the best
In time, my soul shall find its rest

An aching heart, a warring mind
Are the tribulations of my time
Recurring dreams with undestined fate
My life, my love, my unbroken hate
