Stardust in Your Eyes

Stardust in Your Eyes

A Poem by Kenny Alby
"

I wrote this while watching an old film-noir movie with the sound turned down.

"

Stardust in Your Eyes -

Whispering abreast film-grain souls

unfolds an urgent moralist, whose quandary

radiates with Dionysian lust, exposing

cigarette ashes deep in thought,

plastered betwixt teeth surrendered

to hollow lips, a mouth-piece for cinders

ejected upon linoleum tombs.

Calico waves of absinthe waiting on baited breath

to survey midnight horizons for dystopian sinners,

divine comedies play on his fogged lenses

with a kaleidoscope world,

pressed against elder eyes.
