Hearts That Fade

I swear I recognize your breath,
of course you can't see me,
but I'll stick around and keep up my best.

Though success is something I rarely see,
I shall always hold out hope for our song,
For true love shall forever and always be the key. 

Unrequited love isn't for the weak, but nor is it for the strong.
but it is for me I guess,
though its still taken me this long.

Certainly I'm not the best,
Maybe I'm not the worst.
but until I have my love, I cannot rest.
