Blisters

Blisters

A Poem by kenny

The flesh of man is weak.
and of softness it does reek.
I am solved of this I do confess,
for your embrace has altered my flesh.
Worn by the deeds you did to me,
now the scars you plainly see.
Broken within, and now without,
I hope the horror helps remove your doubt.
For the blood my flesh doth weep,
was once yours to keep.
I gave it away with my heart don't you see,
and you took that away from me.
So please take my life too,
after all, it was truly for you.
Gnarled, dead, and cold to the touch,
The tears and cracks are just too much.
Removing the layers to reveal what once was there,
is more painful than to stay without care.
