Shattered Waves

Shattered Waves

A Poem by kenny

Oh how much it meant to me when you said those words.
I felt so light I may as well have had the wings of birds.
For the first time I felt right,
For a brief moment, my world was bright.
and as soon as I shone through,
I was broken by you.
Shattered like a wave upon rock.
I found cliffs where I expected a dock.
The pain forever to burn so bright,
and the doubt to haunt my night.
anger takes way of fear,
but I hold you too dear.
So the anger goes to me,
like a wave pushed back out to sea.
