Burden of AtlasA Poem by kenny
Sick to my stomach with pain.
I can no longer bear the strain. So heavy it weighs down on me, so tired I can no longer see. crushed beneath that which I supported so dear, still only for it do I fear. Unfair is my burden so large so great, but such is the way of fate. To place one such as me, underneath the heavens to be. To sit and watch the eternal clock, to stay and forever be the rock. But alas, is it not what I wanted? what I needed? is it not for what I pleaded? © 2011 kenny |
