Bloodstone

Bloodstone

A Poem by kenny

They say it's impossible to get blood from a rock,
Today you proved them all wrong, with a shock.
You cracked it straight in half, along with my pride.
And they turned away once they saw what was inside.
A rock can only break so many times before it's dust.
Tired of failures, so tired I'm surprised I don't bust.
My entire body hurt from ailments before,
But now you pushed recovery out the door.
Content to stoop in my own blood,
you don't care, and I don't know why you should.
I just wish I hadn't fallen so far,
and just stayed in the black thick tar.
Buried along with all my kind,
while the world doesn't mind.
You managed to get blood and tears out of a rock... good job.
