Cold StarsA Poem by kenny
Lovingly watching those grow from afar,
So omniscient yet powerless to aid, is an old, patient, and kind star. What light, so warm and strong, but can only fade. Useless to compare with the shining quasar, Though destined to out stay it. The warm birthright of every star above, is to witness all undying love. Cherished lights amongst the crushing black, The lights are there to forever shine. Though they journey over eons here and back, We brush them away refusing to find the time. Observing all as planets break and crack, Their warning is overlooked as too kind. The cold birthright of every star above, is to watch the death of every dove. © 2011 kenny |
