PummeledA Poem by kennyA Knights Supposition part 5
On his knees, less because of all the blood,
and far more because of what the maiden said. At long last, he had caught up to her once more, and found her crying behind a locked door. It was a door locked from within, and she didn't know where to begin. She cried for she was without her tyrant, and denied the knight all that he'd spent. She lamented no one helped her in her plight, and pushed away the beaten knight. He stepped forward, his wounds profuse, and for her, that was a fine enough excuse. She pushed him away again with finite resolve, Failing yet again, the knight fell to his knees. and over the cold knight, perhaps his heart began to freeze. she refused him with no love in her heart, and with that, he had played his part. © 2011 kenny |
