Scratched Armor

Scratched Armor

A Poem by kenny
"

A knights supposition part 4

"
With monsters slain,
and losses regained,
The knight dons his armor once more,
And leaves trusted men to guard the door.
The armor no longer shines so bright,
as it is no stranger to a good fight.
Broken and mended in some places,
It has protected the knight in his many chases.
It's weight no longer a burden,
its age far from hidden.
Charred in some places from dragon's fire,
bent in others from wounds so dire.
For the maiden he rides once again,
sticking with his tried and true plan.
She still doesn't love him or care for his name,
but he'll fight for her all the same.
Battle after battle, loss after loss,
There is no land that he wouldn't cross.

Someday her colors he will wear oh so proud,
and her name he will call oh so loud,
for all the people of the land to hear,
it matters not, if that time is near.
For the road ahead is long,
and our knight is strong.
someday she'll see that no matter the price,
he'll always be willing to make that sacrifice.
