Long Way Home

I journey along the roads, and do my part,
to hopefully find my way home, in your heart.
I try and I push, despite the bitter cold,
And I'll keep trying until we are old.
The long and winding road,
has an unspoken code.
Rules no one else seems to see,
but they are so finite to me.
Patience and strength are what will see me through,
the long road until I at last have you.
