Empty Hallelujah

Empty Hallelujah

A Poem by kenny

Despite the wonders and love of the day,
It seems rather hollow in a way.
For despite the hope and proof,
and even the sound of St. Nick on the roof,
I didn't get the gift I wanted,
instead I'm left sadly haunted.
For time passes me,
and still I hear not from thee.
The beauty that eludes me now,
your sweet sound and oh how,
I miss you each and every minute,
despite your reluctance to you I commit,
as always patient and waiting in the wings,
waiting for the day my heart can finally sing.
But today all it sings is hollow,
and despite the darkness, it is you I follow.
