Heart of BoneA Poem by kenny
I cannot hide the dice have been cast,
another repeat of a chapter in the past. Another long battle lost In a war with the highest cost. Each attempt wastes more time, soon no sand you will find. As I am destined to be alone, with a bled dry heart of bone. As always I march strong, singing my proud song. Hoping that there is someone, to find before I'm done. but each time I try, it ends in a sad cry. Oh how it chips like stone, my now shattered heart of bone. Another road with a dead end, and oh the bones it does bend. the story never fails to stay the same, and I am the one to blame. for hope is but a prelude to disdain, and there is no more blood left to stain. I yet again fail to reap what was so patiently sewn, the final straw for a heart of bone. before you, in dust it lies, as always, invisible to your eyes. Starvation is a death oh so slow, so obvious you had to know. yet there you let me die, and ignored my cry. you simply found another source, and completely ignored my patience, of course. © 2010 kennyAuthor's Note
