A Crack in the Door

The age old dilemma of having an affair

Secretly standing

behind a crack in the door                  

like a thief in the night

I listen as cheating lover's love

Silently standing

behind a crack in the door

as my dearest friends

moan like old memories do

Stealthy standing

behind a crack in the door

as lover's quench their thirst

on my old brass bed

Shocked I stand

behind a crack in the door

as wife and lover

speak of my upcoming demise

Sensing the moment

behind a crack in the door

who strikes first

who lives who dies

Suddenly a shot

behind a crack in the door

for who acts first

the poem is a ghost

Smiling I lay dying

behind a crack in the door

praying  to the Gods

a gun laying by my side

I have re-done this poem. I saw where it could use some improvements. If you could give it another try, I think you will agree. Thanks~

I likes it alot. It flowed pretty well and didn't slow down for a second
