Numb

Numb

A Poem by Kennedy
"

losing my love

"
When you left I was numb and cold, empty as bottle tossed away. Cold as a river in winter. So numb I felt nothing, nothing but solitude from others as they danced and laughed. My heart is numb and empty nothing but a body with no soul, and no spirit to be up lifted. Just numb from the loss of you in my arms, numb from the lack of your heart beating beside mine. Or the tneder carasses you gave me, numb from the loss of your love.

Now that that awful situation is over with, what will you do now?
And please, be specific.
I hope I am being helpful here.......

Impressive poem. The feel of it is deep and almost voyeristic because it makes the reader feel like we shouldn't be witnessing the emotion. You're talented.
