Reality

A Poem by Kennedie

Screams burn through my throat.
Letting it all out.
Dimming the flames in my heart.
Louder and Louder.
Pushing all the fear, hate, and pain out.
Cleansing my soul and letting me breath again.
Flailing, thrusting as the screams ripple through my body.
Sanity coming in and out.
What is real?
"Are you ok?"
"Yes" I lie.

This was wonderful, you are right that we lie and tell everyone we are alright. In truth most of us are not, but we don't want to go into all that. I am glad you shared this little poem with us.
I wish I could go in my room, shut the door, and scream just like this. But I think my children would think I have gone crazy:) I do at night time, when their sleeping and I am lying in bed; I have cried myself to sleep more then once.
