Leaves

Leaves

A Poem by Kennabee

As the leaves change
Days become cloudy and colder
Green turns to yellow, red, and orange
Nights grow darker and longer

Dead, dying husks
No longer among the living
Smelling of deaths musk’s
No longer reaching, breathing

The moon bright in the sky
As I watch the last leave fall
Why oh why must everything die?
My mind wonders, what of it all?

I wonder too .. a good metaphoric poem.
Always tho, we have the promise of Spring.
