An Internal Contradiction

An Internal Contradiction

A Poem by Kent 'Kenji' Robinson
"

One of my personal favorite... kind of a throwback

"

A contradiction all it own

having long patience w/ a short temper

 a feeling of understanding alone

nothing less than perfection

allotting the time to achieve

love always giving my all hating that there's nothing to receive

living my life always knowing both realities

the good and bad of it all

learned to cope with the bittersweet

a walking, talking contradiction

both sides canceling each other out

one side longing for life's fictions

the others analytic thinking says "whats it for, whats it about"

The reality and imagination spun together forming a medley

spinning as fast as colliding galaxies

the weight of the contradiction with-in rest upon my shoulders heavily

resting on one knee

posing as the great and mighty Atlas

with the look of a man deep within his own soul

only to find the world is on MY shoulders

my mind is the world and the world is only in my mind
