thoughts on Milwaukee, more muse than epic poetry

Rich men, hollow men 

stuffed shirts and a skirt 

leaning together 

braced against the winds of change. 

Off stage, an empty suit 

the fiddling emperor left hanging 

a reminder 

how easy it is to lose oneself 

in the corn fields.

after seeing your comment on my poem, i had to check out the stuff you make. a lot of the poems i was seeing were dope but too elegant and constructive for me to understand (not a fault of yours, just a lack of knowledge from mine). but this one is pretty good man.

Reading your replies I'm even more intrigued about who the bear was you were poking! 😊
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it even made the news here because of the one who wasn't their... (I'd say his name, but I've already heard people say it fourtimes today and I'm worried he might appear like candyman if Its said a fifth time! 😊
Things I think I know about Milwaukee.... Wasn't it where happy days was set?
And maybe one of its spin offs, like laverne and Shirley, or mork and... No, that was boulder, because I remember the credits showed a welcome to boulder sign. On second thoughts, maybe happy days and laverne were boulder too??? &?

Things I know about Milwaukee...
It confused everyone at our school when we tried to spell it, and not even for the obvious reason of being really hard to spell.
There's a place in Scotland called Milngavie, which is pronounced Mill-guy? So we put 2 and another two together and came up with a number that was to high to count to.
I knew how to spell it, honest, but I was too shy to put my hand up. (I know, you're thinking too shy? but I was, but I soon grew out of that one)
And something about milk too I think, or was it yoghurt, or perhaps it was spray on cheese or something.
Ps... Big surprise, but I failed geography. 😊

Yes, it is beyond me why Wisconsin is something we should even care about-we can only eat so much cheese and there is better.

I will admit to being intruiged by the title. But different badgers. I take it that a badger is Milwaukee's emblem.
My ex brother in law once described this place to me when he was installing a spectrum microscope in the university. This being a masterful description of somewher I might know but don't.
