The poem is stunning in its expression of abiding love. To be wanting to be there always, here and beyond speaks of the kind of love that never runs out. Its springs from boundlessly, deep spiritual wellsprings. A love in which death does not part. Beautifully written Ken!
One should always remember and cherish.. and thus, perhaps, feel time is any time.
A beautiful sadness here, sir.

M & I approaching that point in life where discussion of who goes first comes up from time to time. I always say me first. Logically and selfishly. I am older of the two, and a guy, one who has lived hard and fast by rules at times, so actuarial tables say I am the more likely to dive into the dirt first. And selfishly, because I don't like to dwell on being without her. So if i go, just seconds earlier, I can be there waitng when she wanders back to my arms, :)

This is so exquisitely formed, overtones I see of Pound and Lawrence and H.D. and Neruda and even some Emily mixed in but mostly the interior life of Bujold.

Ken...
Hmmm, I am 74 years old and am having trouble relating to how close I am to the end, and find death a theme I must return to much more often than I would like... I am just E. Pluribus Unum... a nothing face in a faceless crowd. Not haunted, must disbelieving... And there are SO MANY there already with arms open...
