The Rose Elegies (V)

The Rose Elegies (V)

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

Thirteen: that’s all
we add up to --
thirteen syllables

testament to how
much we wanted
out of Dodge tonight.

Thirteen syllables:
testament to how
little ache’s left.
