Rose Elegies (IV)

Rose Elegies (IV)

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

An odd sensation this,
bending over backwards
to keep myself from tumbling
head over heals out of love;
out of Eden, south bound lane
exits to Perdition.

Maybe this time, this maybe
ends in the maybe I’ll stay;
I find some way to keep us
out of the ditch, headed north
toward the open country
cordillera of a sunrise --

where we discover a clarity,
how much the eyes can see
once opened to the diaphanous
contagion of communication.
How do I say: I love you
before you say: hasta luego.

A poem on the bright side...but don't tumble over; head over heels in love; how do one express it in words, without being too "pushy"....once out in the open, where the sky meets the horizon...so much more can develop...words, eyes communicate by themselves; able to see so much more...then conversation....those three precious words...just say them... and three will be no "Hasta luego"..
This poem is quirky in its own way, love it!
