Fable

Fable

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

Now, so they say,
the future is
about us;
the end of history

has been written
with an indelible ink,
the brave new script
of Supermen;

we can close
the ancient angry books,
pull the covers over
all the lying thoughts

nurtured through
warring centuries
of neglect.
How quaint

the new age hubris
we are where
time was meant
to find its true conclusion.

Right up my philosophical alley. Nice Ken.

Good write here. It makes me think of the modern people smug in our current time. Always believing we are in the best generation and discarding our histories. Wars shape us, governments make impact- like it or not. Boiling down our humanity likely involves forgiveness, perspective and deeper insight

That goes for for our current sociology-political status as well. we can fade the memories of lies, war, and neglect and let time guide us to an amiable conclusion....whenever that may be as long as we are a law-abiding society....
Best, B
