Once There Was a Death

Once There Was a Death

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

Once there was a death,
somebody died. We all watched
thinking it might have been

somebody we knew. It wasn't
so nobody cried. It's his job,
somebody told me,

nobody I knew, to keep
us all informed
when anybody dies

in case it's somebody
we ought to mourn.
Sadly, nobody died,

now who's going to tell us
when anybody dies?

I'll let you know Ken, unless of course its me who died and in that case you're own your own. Maybe a good idea for an app, "is anyone I know dead yet?"
I hope this reply sends. This vertical tunnel I'm in is really deep and I've been falling forev... Oh!

can't believe they don't have an app for it already
it looks as though there'll only be dead silence from now on.
It's gratifying someone cared enough to address this issue
