Author's Note

Ken e Bujold
if people are unfamiliar with Nichol, I truly encourage you to look him up. Was one of Canada's greats, who died much too young 34 yrs ago this coming Sunday. I had the great fortune to have had him as a professor and have never forgotten the generosity of his spirit in shaping young writers (myself included) to follow our instincts wherever they took us.

I like the short stanzas of this poem. So much said in so few words. bpNichol certainly had an influence on you for you to remember him with such gratitude, long after his demise. Marvellous when a professor has such passion about his subject he can do that. I imagine Jacob having that sort of influence over his students. A fine tribute to his memory Ken.
