A Mourning Passing

A Mourning Passing

A Poem by Ken e Bujold
"

'Reading Larkin, watching a funeral'

"

There is an ill will creeping
across the glebe, a dark angry wind
foreshadowing our great malaise.

Watching a nation mourn
the passing of a legacy,
I can't help but think

of another would-be king
madly tilting a world
towards oblivion.

What waits this passing?

Indeed... "What waits this passing?" Seismic events are happening this year! Interesting ruminations, Ken! I'm a big fan of Larkin myself. I read his poetry quite a bit.
