7 Days an Urban Haikuist

7 Days an Urban Haikuist

A Poem by Ken e Bujold
"

"Just goofing off"

"

I didn't want to look

but you were so uncommon

I couldn't blink away.

That night we slept in,

in the same bed, as usual
said next to nothing.

I know I am in
side somebody who wants

ejaculation.

I talk to my dead

spirits about a life spilled
chasing bad liquors.

Wait, put time aside,

let the last hours regret slide,

breathe in yourself now.

Sorry, I don't do
sorry once the sun's gone down--

regret's are mornings.

Everybody

wants to own the end of the

world--just not today.
