Three Takes on a Moment in Time

Three Takes on a Moment in Time

A Poem by Ken e Bujold

Too long, too long, this dull dead ache
beggars all thoughts of a clean break.

He's given all a man can take,
turning the cheek for love's mistake.

If there's anything still left unsaid
she's lost the words--the heart's been bent
beyond recognition. What was is dead.
She'll knead no more from discontent.

Now deaf and blind to Chaung Mu,

nothing I say, no matter how profound,
can rewind the clock, twist the moon--
they've run their fragile sloop aground.

Very interesting the changing perspectives. It think the third stanza special with the alteration within the stanza from I to they. Quite a treat to read. Thanks.

Good morning Ken,
I so enjoyed your poem early this morning here in Spain.
Especially your words.

"If there's anything still left unsaid
she's lost the words--the heart's been bent
beyond recognition. What was is dead.
She'll knead no more from discontent."

These words makes one think..and that is good.

Liked lines , turning the cheek for loves mistake
She’s lost the words , the hearts been bent
Can rewind the clock , twist the moon
They’ve run their fragile sloop aground
