I believe in the government of one. I
believe there's tyranny in two. I believe in the democracy of
three. I believe there's a community in four or five. I believe
six is a little chancy. I believe seven's enough to form a
nation. I believe in eight we find fraternity. I believe in
nine there's an endless possibility.
In ten, I don't know, I haven't
learned to count that high yet.
Brilliant Ken. You could quibble about your list but I know that your tongue is firmly in your cheek. I agree that things get tricky above ten - that's when the s**t really hits the fan.
Well done Ken for your funny offering.
Cheers,
Alan

There's an underlying philosophy at work here, and a few little nuggets to be dug free. I wrote it, but more than that I'm not telling, let the reader's find what they may
I was going to say clever but on reflection much deeper than that. It pulls you back in to read again for the more subtle meaning of the last lines. Well done.

Know most will skip along to the number counting, but for those who want to go a little deeper, I buried a few nuggets to find. Glad you think so too.
Hi Ken , Great Poem , my father showed me how do Numerology , I chose all my kids names by numerology

Interesting and witty! This poem is like a brief Transcendentalist Manifesto.
“Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand; instead of a million count half a dozen, and keep your accounts on your thumb nail.” (Thoreau)
