(I Wish I Had A) Mind to Lose

(I Wish I Had A) Mind to Lose

A Poem by Kena
"

Newest song. Personal, kind of at war with myself.

"

V1.

Old friend, how have you been?

How have you been doing?

Oh, have you been torn?

Old friend, what's been happening?

What's been brewing?

Coffee or storms?

Bridge:

I was hoping you'd be here listen

I just thought you should hear that I'm alright

Even if you don't care, I thought you knowing would be fair

If it doesn't matter to you, it's fine with me

Chorus:

Sunshine never goes away until I hear your name

You never answered my question, and I don't know this game

I'm not the best, not even close, but what did I do?

You know, sometimes I wish I had a mind to lose

V2.

Hey there, what are you up to?

What are you trying

to pull on me?

Hey there, you got me crying,

and you just wouldn't let me see.

Bridge:

I was hoping you'd be here to tell

I just thought I should get to know

Even if it's over now, I just don't know why this happened, or how

If it's alright with you, it's great for me

Chorus:

Clouds are always hanging over my head when

you won't tell me what I did after all we've been through

I'm the best, not even the least, but what can I do?

You know, sometimes I wish I had a mind to lose

Every once in a while I just see

tears fill in the blanks

I'm confused, and you know,

it all goes up in flames

I swear, I've wrote the line before

But you just closed the door

And I was waiting out in the rain

About
What can I say? I've gone from stories to songs. But I guess songs are stories, too. I love God and music, in that order. God has given me so much, it's overwhelming. I complain a lot, but I think.. more..
