My Own Heart

My Own Heart

A Poem by Kena
"

Wrote this song for a couple of my friends. :) It's also personally my new favorite, and I plan on recording it ASAP.

"

V1.

Put some pride in your stride,

take a chance this time

I keep saying this

Nothing happened yet

Are you trying as hard as you can?

I promise I am

it's not just for you

it's for my heart too

Bridge:

Please don't leave me here

to make a grey sky clear all alone

I need you with me,

don't know why you can't be my temporary home

Chorus:

Here I come, ready or not

This game keeps driving us in circles

I don't understand why we never win

I give up, can't find myself

I'm hiding all too well

Can you please help me follow my own heart again?

V2.

Keep your faith, don't fall

With the rest of them all

I've been told

too many times

Keep your nerve, don't let go

of the path you know

I remember that

But I can't go back

Bridge:

Please don't walk away

and ruin my whole day with just one word

I need you with me,

You seem to be the only one who's heard me

(Back to chorus)

Bridge:

I keep on driving around in circles

Trying to satisfy the pain

This game that has no end

and no one wins

And we keep on losing us

Wonderful Kena, just wonderful. If you want, I can ask around and see if I can get you a record deal. But back to the song, I just want to know, who were you thinkin' bout when you wrote this??

About
What can I say? I've gone from stories to songs. But I guess songs are stories, too. I love God and music, in that order. God has given me so much, it's overwhelming. I complain a lot, but I think.. more..
