A New "Light"

I was bored and decided to write but wasn't really inspired. This is what I came up with but if you have any suggestions for improvement I would love to hear it.

 

A New "Light"

When the tunnel narrows and the lights grow dim,
An ease of tension and a sense of submission,
I feel lost, the air draws thin,
And I cant stop reading the inscription

It's times like these where you just want to quit,
With no energy left and no will to fight,
 A sudden urge to jump
To finally end this life,

Sitting in my room, envisioning this for real
With no confidence, no hope,
No sign of change and nothing left to feel,
All I can do is sit around and mope

And thats when I saw You
The reason I am here, still seeing and breathing,
You brought the light
And my spirits grew,
For the life I have today....

It's all thanks to You
