A poem I wrote for my ex-girlfriend while we were still dating

Those Three Words

The words that can end a friendship
Have only made ours stronger,
The moment I've always dreamed of
I wish could have lasted longer

When you looked in my eyes I saw it,
When I held you in my arms I felt it,
But it was when you finally said it
That I realized this feeling was for real

The wish I have always made,
The dream I have always had
Has finally come true,
And not a moment to soon
For when I am with you,
This life is amazing

The hard times seem to disappear
And life becomes crystal clear
And everything you are
And everything you've been
Is everything that I've always wanted

Author's Note

This is a really old poem that I wrote and about a year ago I transformed it into song lyrics. This is the original poem though, I just didn't think the song lyrics would sound as good if you are reading them instead of singing to the music. However if you enjoy the poem and want to read the lyrics just let me know and if enough people request it then I will definitely post the lyrics version too
