The Booley & the FiendA Poem by Ken Simm. The Booley is getting rather brave.
The Booley was not in court to hear the sentence passed He had in fact, it was first thought very nearly breathed his last The Woold had then true said from out of his sick bed that such bravery was past remarkable The Woold he then went on with superb discrete aplomb to detail how indefatigable Booley it now seems in pursuit of all his dreams had courted some sudden disaster and in following these grand schemes some very foul fiend (as referred now ever after) had anounced himself in breath stinking of great stealth and ruined an evenings pleasant rapture Whereupon Booley had come charged with easy scant disregard for safety or indeed (quoth Woold) for fame And said, I will now Sir, put paid to you just there all foolishness and indeed your claim The fiend he then replied Oh fear and well complied Your tremble doth become this demesne For I perchance now will, for good or yet for ill use damning all the force that I command Not to be so daunted our brave Booley then shouted out this truly Begone you stinking & foul cur, your causing such a stir not for a moment will us deter The villain he soon went from where ever he'd been sent with no trouble, the Booley, ah he was grand But alas all this foul usury did made him feel quite poorly and this adventure he could not withstand So to bed he soon hist so much so he then missed the court ruling in complete differentia when all fiends in likely absentia were of course summarily banned.
