IN YOUR FACEA Poem by KelsmilesI wrote this when Ohio started the no smoking ban/ laws.I thought segregation was over. You can hide us in a hole, You can ostrasize us, You can badger, cajole, rant and rave, But what gives you the right to say... What we can or can't do. We don't tell you not to chew, drink or brew. We haven't taken anything away from you. We have the same rights, we can vote, and most of us do. But the terms were unclear, intentionally insincere. Legelese from the insane. We couldn't understand. The issues in the booth, Were formed in untruth. We don't blow smoke in your face, We don't risk your inner place, We don't talk down to you. We laugh and joke and talk to you. We should be free to do what we want to, I thought this was America, the land of the free. What happened to the rights of you and me? © 2008 KelsmilesAuthor's Note
