WATCHING

WATCHING

A Poem by Kelsmiles

I feel him there just watching me,
I can see his shadow on the wall,
I detect the faint scent of his musk,
His shadow shifts.
My ears strain to hear his breath,
My own catching in my throat,
A foot step pauses.
Just on the edge of my senses
is he coming closer?
or moving further away?
My flesh tingles
my body poised,
waiting, wondering, pulsing,
Another step closer
My heart leaps in my breast..
I feel his breath in my hair..
his hands on my hips..
pulling me against him..
His arms engulf me,
He whispers in my ear,
Sweetheart, I love you,
Oh yes! My man is home!
