SLEEPING

SLEEPING

A Poem by Kelsmiles

Can you see her?
Sleeping there?
In that old recliner chair.
All curled up in a little ball,
for she has no cares at all.
She's snug,
As a bug...
and just so sweet,
nary a sound, not even a squeak,
As I pick her up and carry her,
under sweet dreams allure...
She snuggles against me so trustingly,
I gaze down at her gratefully,
Turn out the light, kiss her cheek..
Just can't resist another peek,
Mommy's sweet angel baby...asleep.
