I'M GONE

I'M GONE...

Nothing left to say,
all the blame and shame,
has been laid out,
to our everlasting damnation,
recriminations are on the table,
for all to see, and examine.
Time to go, while we still can.
The balance is long gone,
the affection has expired,
to much water under the bridge,
that no apologies or
explanations can span.

It's way to late
the gates have opened wide,
a new road is waiting to follow.
a path of redemption is waiting.
for both our sakes it's time to move on.
Follow our own leads in life,
Take chances on others.
Maybe it was never meant to be,
The love wasn't strong enough,
to see us through the rougher waters,
So now we'll just move on,
See where the next road leads us.

There is a better place to be,
then here where accusations fly,
where the trust is all but gone,
and only doubts cloud our minds,
I have a vision of a grander plan.
A true marriage of hearts and mind,
I will let my dreams take me where they will
and set goals are in my sights,
a new home, a better life, a truer love,
As I walk out this door..
my path to salvation is clear
The gate is slammed shut.
and I'm gone..
