Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Kelsey Taylor

Pass the time,
sit and strain.
I wait for your return,
I ignore the pain.
Open wounds,
never to heal.
I'm trying to explain,
just how I feel.

I'm no good with words,
just what do I say?
I'm taking this all,
day by day.
But its hard you know?
Living this life.
One day you'll be happy,
no longer in strife.

I give it my all,
to this very day.
You ask me my feelings,
but what do I say?

I'll love you forever,
it will never end.
Now your heart is broken,
and its mine to mend.
But I'm just waiting,
waiting on time.
Until the day,
when you can be mine.
